The Big Stink
An exploration of the persistent issue of serious pollution in the River Thames. This work reflects on the lack of awareness in the general public, the inaction of government, the greed of water companies, and the overwhelming complexity of the problem and efforts to try to address it.
written by the collective.
A Load of Old Bollards
A reflection on the charged media headlines, toxic online forums and distorted rhetoric that represent fundamental divides in local communities after the introduction of Low Traffic Networks (LTNs) in Oxford. The work grapples with this complex situation and its many facets in an effort to increase understanding and awareness of the issues involved, to acknowledge the legitimacy of fears, the rhetoric spewed by angry voices, as well as the creativity of the vexed.
Seeking Eudaimonia
An exploration of midlife malaise and the quest for recalibration became a meditation on identity, loss and the passage of time, the circumstances and experiences that determine our current self, and the constant battle between life’s demands and the desire to break out of a rut or mould of expectation.
